Hineni: One Woman’s Journey through Breast Cancer by Sheri KayWhen Sheri was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2010, she began to capture her experience through blogging and quickly found that others were inspired by her writing. She has since become a friend and confidant to many women fighting the same battle and hopes that her words will continue to be a source of hope and strength for people facing not only Breast Cancer, but any of life’s challenges.

“When I look in the mirror, I no longer see the face of cancer,” Sheri writes. “I see the face of a grateful woman who was held up for a year by a devoted husband, an amazing mother, and the best friends and family that anyone could ever dream of. I see hope. I see faith. I see endless possibilities.”

About the Author

Sheri Kay

Kay, a sassy Ohio woman and globe-hopping organizational coach, was on a mission trip in Guatemala when she learned she had breast cancer in 2010. A double mastectomy followed, then months of chemotherapy to blast away aggressive cancer cells. It might have felt like someone had hit the pause button on her life – she couldn’t travel, ride her bike or, sometimes, think in complete sentences. Instead, cancer made her an active student

Named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry by Dental Products Report magazine in 2011, Sheri never stopped moving forward and relentlessly encourages others every day to push through… even in the most difficult times.
